Grief Therapy

Supporting you through the pain of your loss online in California

Are you struggling to handle all the emotions of grief and loss?

Maybe someone close to you has died, or perhaps you’ve lost them in another way like divorce, estrangement, or separation. You may be mourning the loss of a beloved pet, navigating infertility and pregnancy loss, or grieving the loss of your home and belongings in a disaster. Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed by all the ways your grief is affecting you and it seems like there’s no end to the pain.

Whatever your loss has been, you’re beginning to notice the impact of grief:

  • Intrusive thoughts and memories that come up all the time, and often at the worst moments

  • Feeling like nothing will ever be the same and wondering how you’re going to move forward

  • Struggling to keep it together at work, at home, and with friends

  • Feeling like you can’t talk about your loss because others expect you to be over it yesterday

Online grief therapy in California can help

It may feel impossible now, but you can survive through this grief. You can learn how to ride the waves of pain and suffering. You can make it out on the other side and be okay again. And I can help you get there.

Grief therapy helps you:

  • Talk through what happened and how you’re feeling

  • Have a supportive, safe place to bring all your emotions where you never feel pressured to heal on a timeline

  • Explore the pain to heal it

  • Develop rituals, explore spirituality, and find ways to stay connected

  • Find a new sense of who you are on the other side of this loss

I’ll help you through this process, tailoring each step to your unique needs and circumstances. My approach to grief therapy comes from a place of care: our modern society often has no place for grief and pressures you to forget it and get over it as soon as possible. But covering up the pain doesn’t allow you to heal. You need space where your grief is allowed and where you can get the support you need.

It’s time to make space for your grief. I can help you get there.

FAQs about Grief Therapy

What are grief therapy sessions like?

Each loss is unique, so I’ll take the time to hear your story and how you’ve experienced your grief so far. I’ll ask about the emotions, memories, and thoughts that come up for you. All parts of your grief are okay here.

How long do I need to be in therapy?

Most of my grief therapy clients spend 6-8 weeks in therapy. Some people who have had multiple losses, traumatic losses, or who don’t have any support system might choose to stay longer. Even after therapy is done, you might want additional support around the holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, and other important times.

How do I know grief therapy will work for me?

Grief is a normal part of life. Most people will only need a bit of support through the worst parts of the grieving process and then things will start to feel better on their own. And when you feel stuck in grief, we’ll work together to get you back on your feet.

How do I get started?

Contact me to schedule a free consultation. We’ll meet online for about 20-30 minutes. I’d like to get to know a bit about you and what you want from therapy, and you can also ask me questions about myself or about MBNET.
