My primary goal for you in therapy is this:

I want each and every one of my clients to leave therapy feeling comfortable in their inner world.

Here’s what that feels like. Your inner monologue, the voice you use to talk to and about yourself, is fundamentally kind. No shaming, no ruminating over what you did wrong.
You allow yourself to feel all your emotions, knowing they’re just messages. Some are helpful, some are not. Either way, they’re part of your inner landscape and you can accept them.
You are able to shift frames. When the big picture feels overwhelming, you know how to zoom in and refocus on what you need to do today. And when the list for each day feels endlessly repetitive, you know how to zoom out and refocus on your long term goals.

I’m Jess, and I help people like you: stressed out, overwhelmed people who just want to learn how to get by in life when it feels so hard sometimes.

I help my clients explore the relational dynamics, personal history, and core beliefs that feed into people pleasing and perfectionism. We’ll also dig into the shame and sense of “selfishness” that keeps us from taking up the space we need with healthy boundaries and communication.

I’m here to help you live authentically.

For many sensitive people, empaths, people pleasers, and perfectionists, that starts with learning more about yourself. Many of my clients come into therapy unable to name their strengths, goals, needs, and emotions. If that’s you? You’re in the right place.

My training in mindfulness based therapy techniques means I have the expertise you need and deserve to help you get back in touch with yourself and reconnect with who you are and what you need. This isn’t symptom management therapy. This is a new way of relating to yourself and others.

But at the end of the day, you want to know you’re working with someone who really understands. I know the concept of transformation is so oversold these days. It can be hard to tell what’s true and what’s just another expensive waste of time.

I get it. I developed my own approach to therapy because that’s what worked for me, and I’ve seen it create genuine, meaningful changes for my clients too. I’ve been there. I was always anxious, feeling defensive and waiting for something to go wrong, overwhelmed by all the decisions and the pressure to do things right. I know that feeling of disconnection, like life is happening around you, like you’re the only one who’s missing something important.

So when we work together, you’re not just getting a trained, licensed therapist. You’ll get someone who truly understands those feelings and has come out on the other side.
