I use Mindfulness Based Narrative-Existential Therapy (MBNET) to change the way you approach life. Instead of feeling frustrated trying to stop your thoughts and feelings, MBNET is all about using mindfulness, acceptance, and re-storying to help you develop resilience, feel comfortable in your own skin, and transform the way you relate to problems when they come up.

How Therapy Works

 

Let’s start with an introduction.

One thing we know from research is that the most healing part of therapy is the relationship you have with your therapist. Even the best methods don’t matter as much as whether or not you feel seen, heard, and understood. That’s why therapy often starts with a free consultation. We can’t fully get to know each other in a quick 20-30 minute video chat, but I’ll structure our time so I can hear a bit about what’s going on for you and you can ask me anything about myself or the therapy process.

We’ll meet weekly for sessions

Meeting weekly at the same time helps build therapy into your routine. We’ll touch base with any new things you noticed, check how the week went, and bring it all back to your goals. Therapy with me stays focused on helping you learn more about yourself, how you use the three centers of intelligence, and using the MBNET tools to change the way you relate to yourself and others.

We’ll end therapy intentionally

When you’re ready, we’ll switch over to an intentional ending process. This set of sessions is all about helping you maintain the gains you’ve seen through your work in therapy. You’ll feel resilient, trust yourself to handle whatever life throws at you, and be at peace in your mind and body.

You can come back if you need to

When something comes up that you want to talk through, I’m still here. People who have been through therapy with me are welcome to return for just a single session if that’s what you need, or a few sessions of support.
