Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining the expected costs of your medical or mental health care.
If you are not using insurance, your healthcare provider is required to provide an estimate of the anticipated charges for services, including psychotherapy.
The estimate will outline the expected costs so you can make informed decisions about your treatment.
You can request a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service or at any point during your care.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
